The hospital will include 80 beds and give optimal healthcare services not only to Sosua, but also to local residents of Puerto Plata, Yasica, and the rural community of El Muñoz, Montellano, among others.

The Professor Juan Bosch Traumatology Hospital was developed as a large institutional public facility for the local Ministry of Public Health (SESPAS). It is located in the province of La Vega, and it is focused on providing quality services to the area containing 173 beds and amenities such as multiple surgical suites, laboratories and specialty areas for trauma.
